This time last week our 2017 School Fete was over and the amazing stall holders and Fete Team were packing up after a fantastic day filled with smiles and laughter!
The atmosphere was just buzzing all day and seeing so many of our current community, as well as many familiar faces, just warmed our hearts.
Our fete truly plays a role in bringing people together. Our children were actively involved this year with our Year 2s busy reminding us how to dispose of our cups nad plates and making sure we put the right things in the right bins.
Our Year 4s were excited to share their presentations about sustainable travel and talk about the new Active Pathways that have just opened.
Our Year 3s creating amazing games for Sideshow Alley! They were a huge hit this year.
Of course our year 5 and 6 children were proudly selling . A huge range of products from bags to fondue to baths bombs and bracelets were on offer, all made by the children. One group were busy washing cars on Dickens St and had to turn people away (including Ms Higgins!)
The fete would not happen without the dedicated effort of the fete team and our heartfelt thanks and gratitude go to them:
Our next layer of indispensable people are the many stall holders and judges:
A HUGE THANK YOU GOES OUT TO THE 105 PARENT VOLUNTEERS WHO GAVE UP THEIR TIME ON THE DAY.
WE COULD NOT DO IT WITHOUT YOU!!!!
Finally, we also want to thank our sponsors who generously supported us in a variety of ways.
In particular McGrath Real Estate and Las Chicas who’s very generous donations of time and money have ensured we will be able to achieve our goals in 2018.
Details about our plans for 2018 will follow soon!
Just a few shots from the day! More to follow this week!
