Climbing needs to be safe!

We are aware that some children are climbing trees and are concerned that this may be unsafe in our school grounds, as often there are bluestone borders or asphalt directly beneath the trees. To enable our trees to grow strong and for our children to be safe, please speak to your children about climbing on the play equipment. It is purpose built for climbing!

You may have noticed that the totem poles in the Enchanted Garden have signs on them! We’d love children to use them to run between but not to climb. We have a terrific plan for the totem poles which will become apparent in the near future. Until then, let’s encourage all climbing to take place in the junior and senior playgrounds where softfall is there to protect our children from injury.
