On Thursday CERES ran two workshops at our school to encourage Leadership for Sustainability and to support teachers in their journey through the ResourceSmart program.
Principals and Assistant Principals from the South Eastern Region arrived at 7.30am for a cocktail breakfast to discuss how to support staff to incorporate sustainability into the curriculum and how to achieve a whole school change.
For the rest of the day Sustainability Coordinators from 11 different schools shared ideas and received support from CERES to progress towards certification of their next module and/or Star. Educators from Sustainability Victoria and the St Kilda EcoCentre were also on hand to inform teachers about what is happening in the sustainability network.
The day finished with a fabulous school tour run by Sasha (5P), Ryder (5J), Solei and Josie (5E) and Anabel. They expertly explained what our school has achieved in regard to sustainability and answered all questions in a polite and knowledgeable way.
