生活のための学習

Dear Parents,

This is an incredibly exciting time for our school community. I am thrilled to say that we have received more nominations than we have available positions on School Council. We have had 4 parents who have nominated for School Council: Belinda Galloway, Julie Bleeker, Maya Donevska and Nigel Ashton. Thank you to all candidates for their enthusiasm, commitment and drive! As part of the process, we will now go to ballot to elect our councillors for 2018-2020.

Today your child has brought home your School Council Election package. The package contains:

  • Statements from the candidates
  • Ballot paper
  • 2 envelopes (large white and smaller white)

One package has been sent home to each household. Additional copies are available at the office. Please see Mary Lister and you will be provided with a ballot paper. If you require an additional ballot paper to be sent home, again, please phone Mary Lister and your child will be provided with papers to take home.

We have received feedback from families in the past in regard to the amount of paperwork generated at election time and we are mindful of this fact. As a sustainable school we have adopted this approach (1 per family) in response to our community’s feedback.

Please read the candidates’ statements and mark the ballot paper accordingly. Place the completed ballot paper in the small white envelope. Place the small white envelope in the larger white envelope. Write your name and address on the back of the larger white envelope AND your CHILD’S name and grade and deliver or arrange to deliver it to Mary Lister in the office, or, post it to reach the Principal, before closure of the ballot at 4.00 pm on Wednesday the 14th of March;

or/

Place the white envelope containing the completed ballot paper in the ballot box and print your name and address in the register of voters and your child’s name and grade (at the office).

Thank you,

Sue Higgins
