生活のための学習

This week we have had a wonderful week called Unique Week, organised by the Year 5 Community Leadership Group. During the week the Year 5 students have been teaching our school about diversity and what Acknowledgement to Country and Welcome to Country are and what they mean. We also made a movie called ‘The Boy who Dared to be Different’, we had 3 screenings of the movie on Wednesday, at lunch and recess.
Today we celebrated the end of the week with a dress up day to celebrate our diversity and uniqueness. Our school community was able to dress as anything that made them unique, whether it be their cultural dress, their favourite colours or whatever makes them unique. We have been blown away by the support for this week, both with teachers letting us interrupt their classes and our community’s generosity in supporting the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. On first count we have been able to raise $370.85 for the foundation.
Thank you,
