Last Tuesday we welcomed 16 students from Tohoku University (Japan) and Professor Yukako Yonezawa.
Our Seito Kai warmly welcomed our Japanese visitors to SKPS and supported them throughout the day.
The Tohoku University students spent the day immersed in different programs and classes across the school. Teachers threw their doors open and the children in the classes tried their best to speak Japanese, even our youngest treasures! The Tohoku University students played basketball with many children during the breaks and there were smiles everywhere.
The Tohoku University students were most astounded to learn of the differences and between Australia and Japan with regard to the primary education system, our multicultural environment and the relationships between staff and students.
