生活のための学習

Wondering if the Year 4 children are itchy? Certainly not!

This term they have been exploring something called Scratch.

Scratch is a programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world. As children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively and reason systematically (and you can download it onto any computer, so try it at home over the holidays!)

Our children created some amazing buykeppraonlinenow.com programs focusing on the things they like to do. There was music. animation and much more. Both Eric and Ms Fulton have been thrilled with their achievements.  Ms Higgins had a lovely time finding out how the children programmed their animations and says she is ready to start writing her own programs next year!

Find out why it is important for our children to learn programming from Mitch Resnick, Head of  Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab.
